Rose tried: 3CE Lipsticks and Knitnetic

Hello there, lovelies!

First things first, (I’m the realest) Happy New Year! It’s 2021, which means 2020, because 2020 disappeared when COVID-19 appeared!

We’re kicking off the year with a bang, and by a bang, we mean a giveaway! The first review of the year is 3CE lipsticks – and stay tuned, because we have an exciting giveaway on our Instagram platform! We’re giving away the 3CE Red Recipe Lip Colour Mini Kit, alongside two cute little pouches from Knitnetic (https://www.etsy.com/sg-en/shop/Thankscrochet).

So… our entire group of friends have our own go-to lipsticks. Kiki likes her lip balms and gloss, while I? I like to hop around lipsticks, depending on my mood that day. But 3CE makes frequent appearances in the lipsticks that I use daily, because the colours are just that wearable.

Honestly, these lipsticks have been with me for quite a long while. I don’t even think 3CE carries #SMALLSTEP and #YOUTH anymore. #114 ROWS and #115 MUSS are part of their Mood Recipe line, which are super matte and comes in many different shades of brown and terracotta. I use MUSS the most out of all my 3CE lipsticks, and it’s nearly whittled down to the end already. MUSS has a tendency to make me look pale and sick though – unless I come in full force with thick makeup.

As you can see from these photos, they can come off quite patchy, because they’re so darn dry. I dislike glossy lipsticks, and usually won’t put lip balm before I put on the 3CE, but by the end of the day, my lips will be chapped.

Their Red Recipe Line, on the other hand, carry reds in all shades. For me, I like putting this line in the middle of my lips and then sheering them out, because they become this juicy colour that makes it seem like you’re wearing lipstick, but you’re not at the same time. This line is less drying than the Mood Recipe line, which I love as well.

The lipsticks from 3CE aren’t durable. That much is for sure.

Eat a meal? It’s gone and you have to re-apply. Smoosh your face into your boyfriend’s white tee shirt? Oops, there’s a lipstick stain there. But I still love the colours, because they glide on pretty smoothly and are extremely wearable.

These are the colours with the glass gloss applied on top. I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist and decided to just dob a little bit on top before smearing my way down. It’s so satisfying. Please watch our Instagram stories. With the glass gloss, your lips will have this shine to them that makes them look ultra-juicy. And kissable. Your boyfriend will want to kiss you all the time, but he’ll probably flinch back after the first because the gloss is gonna go everywhere.

Okay, so does anybody have this issue of losing their lipsticks in their bags all the time? Cause I do. But we have a solution for you!

All my bags are pretty big, and I have a habit of just dumping them right in. In our circle of friends, we like to call it lucky draw. Fish around in your bag and see what you can get, y’know. But my lipsticks always end up scratched up because of the other things in my bag, which makes me sad, because I like to keep my things pristine. But it’s terribly annoying trying to find a special pouch to leave them in.

Which is why these pouches from Knitnetic are godsent for me. They come with this drawstring at the top that you can hook around your handle, so you always know where your lipsticks are. And even if you don’t want to hook them around your handle, their material is top-notch and distinctive from the rest of the stuff in your bag (unless you have a crackton of knit-like stuff, which I highly doubt you guys will), because it’s carefully crocheted!

And look! It’s large enough to fit all our 3CE lipsticks together! For all your lipstick fiends out there, who need to bring at least 5 lipsticks out with you in one trip (wait… why am I describing myself…), this would be perfect.

Knitnetic gave us two pretty pouches, one in yellow and one in purple to give away to y’all, and the material’s so soft and lovely. Everything’s handmade, so you can be sure of the quality (the pouch feels really solid, and can probably withstand a beating, but please don’t beat it). It retails for SGD$8.00, which is a fair price given that it’s y’know, handcrafted. I don’t know how long it takes for her to crochet one pouch, but I’m guessing it takes quite long.

So head on over to our Instagram post to figure out how to get the 3CE Red Recipe Lip Colour Mini Kit and these two gorgeous cosmetic pouches! We’re excited and can’t wait for you to participate in the giveaway!

Till next time, lovelies!
